The first thing to understand is that the mobile phone is free to fall in the falling procedure, and the strength and direction are irregular. Therefore, the consideration of preventing the screen fragmentation lies in the characteristics of the screen itself: 2D, 2.5D, 3D screen.

First: Ordinary 2D Screen

This kind of screen is basically flat with the fuselage frame, the screen will not directly touch the ground during the drop process after the tempered glass film is attached. Generally, it acts on the frame and the four corners, or the front side acts on the tempered glass film, which has the best protection effect on the screen.

Second: Common 2.5D Screen

The 2.5D screen is to sharpen the edges into a curved shape based on the 2D screen, which fits the curve for the metal frame. The edge does not produce the kind of cut-off feeling of the ordinary screen when finger across the edge of the screen. At the same time, the sleek shape makes the phone look more refined.

The downside is that the 2.5D glass is slightly above the metal frame and the edges are curved. Therefore, the screen protector must be "small a circle" than the screen, and the protective effect on the screen is not so complete.

Third：3D Curved Screen

As the name suggests, the left and right sides of the screen are made into 3D surfaces, which may be similar to 2.5D, but they are fundamentally different! In summary, mobile phone tempered film can only prevent screen fragmentation to a certain extent, but it is not absolute. It is more protection for daily scratching of the screen!
